DigiPak Changes Made Due to Feedback

In response to the feedback we received from our peers, we made some alterations to the Digipak to make the final product.
Here is the comparison of our first draft to our final draft:

  • Most of the people didn't like the use of different fonts used, so we changed this so all of the writing had the typography style to it, increasing consistency.
  • The positioning of the panels were also changed so that the layout worked out better on our final CD.
  • Quite a few of our peers also said that the white border around the national anthem logo looked to amateur, and that we was missing the album title on the spine of the Digipak, which we also added.
  • We alternatively decided to add a special thanks panel to the design as we felt it would add to the artist's friendly personality, making the rose picture out of focus so that the text could be clearly seen.
  • Our final alteration we made was on the disc. We decided against placing the text angled as it was difficult to read, so we placed the writing at a straight angle, still using the purple bar against the pink disc. To carry the nature theme across the Digipak, we decided to add some more tree doodles as well as the stars.
  • Two of the pictures were also edited out and replaced as these were the least liked images on the Digipak. We decided to use more images of her to increase the star image. These were used on the lyrics and the special thanks pages as the two images used before were described by our peers as too cliché.
  • We also saw that a couple of the Polaroid images were too washed out and the exposure settings were too high. The images were also changed and colour corrected.
